A huge thank you to Miss Grace Hamilton, who visited our school today. Grace competed in the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games held in in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from March 14–21, 2019. These Olympics are a multi-sport event for athletes with intellectual disabilities in the tradition of the Special Olympics movement. Grace visited with her aunt Roisin and her very proud mum. Grace has a special connection to the school as she is the niece of Roisin, one of our staff members. Grace proudly displayed her winning, gold medal as part of Ireland's Ladies Basketball team. The adults and children enjoyed our question and answer session. Grace certainly is an inspiration to everyone. Remember, I think I can, I know I can, I can!
